Full-Time ML Engineer/Software Engineer

At Scalable Capital, we're expanding our Data Department with ML Engineering roles in our Data Science team.

This role can focus on infrastructure (MLOps) or bridge software development and Machine Learning.

Responsibilities include:

1. Identifying, evaluating, implementing, and maintaining AI/ML technologies for internal and future client services, following software engineering best practices.
2. Developing architectures for deploying scalable ML/AI solutions.
3. Building infrastructure components, CI/CD pipelines, configuring, extending, and maintaining ML services on AWS.
4. Evaluating retrieval techniques, language models, and generative AI methodologies, focusing on pragmatic solutions.
5. Implementing automated testing and monitoring for AI systems accuracy and reliability.
6. Collaborating with cross-functional teams for AI system integration.
7. Staying updated with industry developments and technologies.

Required skills include:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant fields (Computer Science, AI, Data Science, etc.).
• Generalist mindset, willingness to learn different domains (Backend, Frontend, AI/ML).
• Extensive AI/ML and software development experience (Python).
• Frontend experience (e.g., Next.js).
• Dockerization, cloud platforms (AWS - ECS, Lambdas, API Gateway), and ML/GenAI services (AWS Bedrock, Sagemaker).
• CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), version control.
• Modern machine learning libraries (scikit-learn, PyTorch, Transformers, Langchain, LlamaIndex).
• Understanding of chains, routing, agents, RAG, and vector databases.
• MLOps practices, ML model lifecycle, performance monitoring, and LLM applications.
• Model training, fine-tuning, evaluation, optimization, risk mitigation (in production).
• Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
• Interest in financial services and markets.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and hands-on mentality.
