Full-Time Mortgage Services Risk Director

We’re recruiting for a Risk Director to join us in our Mortgage Services business. We’re offering a competitive base salary and 12% car allowance. We’re looking for a strategic and forward-thinking Risk Director to lead our technical, risk, audit, and professional standards functions. This is a high-impact leadership role.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading the development and delivery of LGMS’s risk, audit and technical strategy
• Managing high-level client and industry relationships, including board-level stakeholders
• Overseeing the Professional Indemnity Insurance (PII) policy, claims and complaints handling
• Driving quality assurance and audit processes to meet regulatory and customer standards
• Supporting the growth and profitability of the valuation and surveying business
• Developing and embedding a positive risk culture across the organisation
• Managing and mentoring a high-performing team across technical and risk functions
• Ensuring compliance with RICS, lender, and internal governance frameworks

Who we're looking for:

• You must be RICS qualified with residential mortgage market experience
• Proven leadership in risk, audit, or technical operations within financial services
• Strong understanding of valuation risk, PII, and regulatory frameworks
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strategic thinker with a track record of delivering business transformation
• Experience managing teams and fostering inclusive, high-performance cultures
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and trends
• Commitment to customer outcomes, integrity, and continuous improvement
