Turner & Townsend is looking for a Preconstruction Architect / Designer to lead the design and planning of electric vehicle (EV) operations facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Create site layouts, feasibility studies, and early-stage design concepts.
- Produce detailed drawings and documentation for facility components.
- Design and coordinate EV charging layouts.
- Work closely with internal and external partners to align design with operational needs.
- Manage permitting processes and ensure designs meet applicable codes and standards.
- Contribute to the creation of design standards and playbooks.
- Prepare construction documentation and review shop drawings.
- Support long-term infrastructure planning and real estate strategy.
- Participate in site selection and evaluation.
- Conduct design reviews and site visits.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field.
- Licensed Architect with 10+ years of experience in architectural design and pre-construction.
- Experience designing EV charging infrastructure.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other architectural design tools.
- Strong understanding of building codes (ADA, NEC) and permitting processes.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Creative problem-solving and strategic thinking.
