Full-Time Principal Product Designer

At Dash, Dropbox’s new AI division, design has always been at the heart of what makes our product beloved by customers. As a Principal Product Designer on Dash focused on Growth, you will be at the forefront of reimagining design for the next generation of AI-powered products.

Your role will focus on leading design across key areas of Dash’s lifecycle: activation, retention, and expansion. Ensuring exceptional design craft within the organization by working closely with talented teams of Product Designers, Design Directors, Research Leads, and Content Designers, maintaining high standards of design excellence and precision.

Responsibilities:

• Lead strategic growth-focused design across key moments in the user journey.
• Infuse data and experimentation into your design process—translating learnings into scalable UX systems.
• Proactively identify and define high-level opportunities, especially in AI.
• Take ownership of strategic, design-led projects, driving them from concept to delivery.
• Collaborate with the VP of Design to identify key initiatives.
• Help shape and execute the broader design strategy.
• Develop and implement innovative design patterns and systems that are durable, repeatable, and scalable.
• Collaborate with the Design Leadership Team, Extended Design Leadership Team, General Managers, and the CEO to align strategic design initiatives with company goals.

Requirements:

• 15+ years in a senior Individual Contributor role.
• Deep experience in building innovative AI-driven products and creating transformative user experiences.
• Exceptional interaction and visual design skills.
• A portfolio showcasing significant contributions to shipping customer experiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with various stakeholder groups.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Expertise in design thinking methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven ability to lead design efforts in remote or distributed team environments.
• Prior experience with 0-1 product initiatives.
• Proven ability to scale onboarding, freemium, or pricing flows in self-serve SaaS environments.
• Background working with AI-powered tools or interfaces preferred.
