About the role: We seek an experienced Principal Product Manager to lead our rapidly growing Video-based Safety business. This team focuses on AI-powered dash cameras, driving risk identification, providing programmatic access to safety data, and facilitating timely event management for customers. The role demands an 'AI-first' approach to building impactful products.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, design, and launch innovative solutions collaborating with Design, Engineering, and Marketing.
- Lead the vision, roadmap, and priorities of the Safety organization.
- Develop a forward-thinking product strategy while executing details.
- Understand customer operations through feedback gathering and demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit to deliver value.
- Drive personal and professional development adapting to career growth within Samsara.
- Champion and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Obsess Over the Customer, Build for the Long Term, Growth Mindset).
Minimum Requirements:
- 8+ years in product management, demonstrating experience launching and scaling innovative products.
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science preferred, Masters or PhD desirable.
- Strong technical understanding and ability to collaborate effectively with engineers.
- Proven skill in gleaning insights from quantitative and qualitative data, focusing on customer needs.
- Experience delivering business results with hands-on approach.
- Excellent communication skills for presentations to customers and internal teams.
- Team leadership skills to successfully manage diverse teams to meet aggressive timelines.
