Vendor Performance Manager will oversee vendor management staff in the implementation and management of a formalized process for selecting, monitoring, and auditing third-party service providers.
Monitor and report on SLA compliance and contractual obligations to ensure compliance.
Proactively review and analyze business processes to identify opportunities for compliance and operational efficiency.
Prepare risk assessments of new and existing vendors and develop strategies to minimize risk.
Manage, monitor, and track third-party vendor compliance with regulations and internal policies, ensuring adherence to service levels.
Oversee vendor scorecard meetings, actively following up on automation and business unit requirements.
Report to senior management on vendor performance, compliance, service quality, etc.
Monitor, evaluate, and approve department forms/documents to ensure compliance and timeliness related to vendor management.
Conduct periodic risk reviews of critical vendors.
Oversee all aspects of the Vendor Management department and third-party vendor relationships.
Oversee vendor onboarding due diligence according to company policy.
Oversee and monitor vendor complaints according to company policy.
Assess and assign risk tolerance based on regulatory requirements.
Manage action plans to ensure compliance.
Serve as first point of contact for vendor non-responsiveness and escalate non-compliance issues.
Oversee monthly vendor scorecard review process, including timely completion, performance analysis, action plan documentation, and follow-up.
Ensure proper tracking, measurement, and reporting to evaluate vendor performance using the vendor scorecard and monthly trending analysis.
Required Skills and Experience
- High School diploma, Medical Office training certificate or relevant experience
- 5+ years of vendor management experience, focusing on healthcare services
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent
- In-depth knowledge of medical coding and billing procedures (ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS)
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, data security, and compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Project management and organizational skills
- Experience with contract negotiation and management
Salary & Benefits
Salary range: $66,000 - $82,000 (base pay, excluding bonuses and benefits).
Potential for 15% annual bonus and restricted stock units.
