AECOM is seeking a Procurement Specialist to work remotely. The client is located in Sacramento, CA, so Pacific Timezone hours are expected.
JOB SUMMARY: This role will support the efficient execution for managing, preparing, and analyzing contracts and procurement agreements for CAHSR.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Applies knowledge and utilization of efficient procurement processes, market research, and good business management to ensure timely delivery of goods and services to the customer.
- Utilizes innovative cost and time-efficient strategies in decision-making in the acquisition process.
- Formulates the contracting approach to satisfy the requirement, determining the best suited contract type, developing clauses, and terms and conditions applicable to the solicitation.
- Performs cost and price analysis for all negotiations, supporting documentation for price fair and reasonableness determinations.
- Throughout the life of the A/E, supply, construction, information technology, utility, and service contract, maintains liaison with the contractor to interpret obligations and provide problem resolution under the direction of the Contract Manager.
- Coordinates with legal, finance, and other departments ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Implements contract management policies and procedures, identifying improvement areas.
- Monitors contract execution to ensure obligations are met, maintaining detailed records of contract documents and communications.
- Provides training and guidance on contract-related issues to teammates/staff.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders across departments to ensure contracts align with business objectives and risk tolerance.
- Ensures compliance with legal, regulatory requirements, and internal CAHSR policies.
- Coordinates review of developed customized contract drafts by stakeholders (Legal, Risk Management, Audit, etc.) to mitigate risk.
- Reviews, modifies, and negotiates contract terms to mitigate risk.
- Prepares, maintains, and reviews purchasing files, reports, and price lists.
- Prepares purchase orders and sends copies to suppliers and requesting departments.
- Actively maintains safety in daily activities.
- Responds to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
- Compares prices, specifications, and delivery dates to determine the best acquisition method, preparing PreAward/PreSolicitation documentation.
- Tracks the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders.
- Contributes to the overall success of the AECOM and CAHSR office by performing other duties as assigned.
