Product & Customer Learning Consultant

Role Summary:

• Delivering instructional, operational, product, and customer-based training programs to internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
• Creating and delivering engaging learning experiences for in-class and virtual environments.
• Supporting Assent’s products, services, and technologies through training.

Responsibilities:

1. Training Design & Content Development
   • Develop training materials (learning plans, courses, slide decks, participant guides, videos, tip sheets).
   • Apply instructional design best practices and adult learning principles.
   • Gather and curate source materials.
   • Translate complex technical content into accessible training materials.
   • Refine and edit AI-generated training content.
   • Select appropriate delivery methods.
2. Training Delivery & Facilitation
   • Deliver training to internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
   • Conduct live and on-demand training using virtual platforms, webinars, in-class sessions, and recorded videos.
   • Showcase new product and service features.
3. Subject Matter Expertise
   • Develop a deep understanding of Assent’s products, services, and solutions.
   • Maintain close relationships with cross-functional teams.
4. Continuous Improvement & Stakeholder Collaboration
   • Partner with key stakeholders (Customer Success Managers).
   • Conduct training needs assessments.
   • Implement evaluation strategies to measure training effectiveness.
   • Maintain content accuracy and relevance.
   • Apply evidence-based feedback to refine training programs.
5. Project Management
   • Oversee training project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications.
   • Support team projects, including updating process documentation.
6. Additional Responsibilities
   • Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
   • Ensure adherence to corporate security policies.
   • Occasional off-hours training sessions.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in Adult Education, Learning & Development, or related field.
• Experience in designing, developing, and delivering learning solutions.
• Experience with learner user experience across learning toolsets and modalities.
• Content authoring/creative tools experience.
• LMS systems and/or enablement platforms experience (asset).
• Proficiency with AI tools (ChatGPT, LEAi, etc.) (asset).
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (fluency in another language a plus).
• Superb interpersonal skills.
• Ability to drive and deliver learning solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
