Full-Time Product Design Lead

The Role

We’re looking for a Product Design Lead who’s not only an exceptional craftsperson but also a thoughtful leader. You’ll be an integral part of shaping Posh’s product experience leading design initiatives across our platform, mentoring team members, and influencing the next generation of AI-first tools for financial institutions.

What You’ll Do

• Be a Player-Coach: Balance strong IC design contributions with mentorship and light people management (1 designer, 1 researcher).
• Lead Design Process: Drive the end-to-end design lifecycle from discovery and ideation to delivery for core product experiences.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with PMs, engineers, researchers, and stakeholders to deeply understand user needs and business goals.
• Conduct and Apply Research: Use user research to inform design direction and validate ideas.
• Prototype and Iterate: Rapidly ideate, prototype, test, and refine designs using Figma and generative tools.
• Design Systems: Contribute to and maintain our design system to ensure cohesive, scalable product experiences.
• Elevate Design Quality: Ensure all designs meet a high standard of craft, clarity, and usability.
• Solve Complex Problems: Tackle meaty design challenges using systems thinking and a structured, scalable approach.
• Explore AI Frontiers: Bring curiosity and ambition to how we integrate AI into our product and workflow.
• Design Thinking: Apply structured methods from discovery to testing while remaining pragmatic and outcome-focused.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 6+ years of product design experience, including prior experience managing or mentoring designers and researchers.
• Portfolio: A strong portfolio of shipped work on complex web/mobile applications with clear business and user outcomes.
• Expertise: Deep knowledge of UX/UI, interaction design, and information architecture. Prior experience working on conversational AI or data-heavy products is a plus.
• AI Affinity: You’re comfortable and enthusiastic about using generative AI to supercharge your workflow—whether it’s accelerating ideation, refining copy, or creating prototypes.
• Startup Mindset: You’re adaptable, autonomous, and excited by the ambiguity and speed of a startup environment.
• Systems Thinker: You connect the dots between user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints to design scalable solutions.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills—you can explain your thinking clearly and persuasively.
