Looking for a remote Product Design Manager to lead and grow the Design team and drive the design vision forward to remove money from politics. Ideal candidate has 2+ years leading Design teams in consumer internet/pro-sumer SaaS companies.
This role is a player/coach, contributing to design work while managing/mentoring a team of Product and Brand Designers. Will develop a world-class user experience and deliver an innovative product for candidates and citizens ready to disrupt corruption in American politics.

Responsibilities:
- Develop/grow a world-class team of Brand/Product Designers.
- Create design processes using an iterative, fast-paced, data-driven approach.
- Partner with Product leadership to craft the product vision/direction.
- Contribute directly to product design as a player/coach.
- Modernize and consumer-ify community engagement tools.
- Develop user research best practices for consistent feedback loops.
- Partner with leadership to communicate the Design team's impact.
- Evolve GoodParty.org's brand and design system to elevate brand identity.
- Champion the use of AI within the team.
- Ensure accessible interfaces that work seamlessly for users with varying abilities.
- Maintain high empathy in all aspects of team work.
- Report to the Chief Product Officer.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years leading Design teams in consumer internet/pro-sumer SaaS companies.
- Managed a team of at least 3 direct reports.
- 5+ years of total product design experience (with 3+ years as individual contributor).
- Expertise in responsive web design and native mobile applications.
- Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Maze, etc.).
- Proven User Research practices and process creation.
- Experience building something from scratch or working at an early-stage startup.
- Strong communication skills (written/verbal).
- Ability to provide clear creative direction.
- Understanding of user-centered design principles.
Bonus Points:
- Brand team leadership experience.
- Experience in politics, political activism, or democracy reform.

Compensation: $170,000 - $210,000 (negotiable, commensurate with experience).
