Full-Time Product Design Manager

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Manager of Product Design to lead our product design efforts within the Product Experience team at SportsEngine. You will guide a talented group of designers to deliver visually stunning, intuitive, and accessible experiences across our digital products.

This role requires close collaboration with Product Managers, Engineers, and other cross-functional stakeholders to define the product vision, influence strategy, and elevate design craft.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of product designers.
• Define and drive the design strategy to align with business objectives and user needs.
• Own and evolve the design vision for SportsEngine’s products.
• Champion high-quality UI craft and user-centered solutions.
• Uphold and evolve a robust design system.
• Guide the team in balancing near-term execution with long-term vision.
• Foster a collaborative, feedback-rich environment.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering for seamless execution.
• Influence and evolve the product design process.
• Communicate design decisions to executives and stakeholders.
• Stay current with industry trends and competitive insights.

Experience and Skills:

• 6+ years of experience in product design, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated success in designing and shipping large-scale products.
• Exceptional UI design skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma and a deep understanding of design systems.
• Strong understanding of platform guidelines (Apple HIG, Material Design, WCAG).
• Experience with experimentation-led design.
• Excellent communication and storytelling abilities.
• Proven ability to partner with Product Management, Engineering, Research, and Data teams.
• Strong product intuition and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Portfolio demonstrating design leadership and collaboration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or related field (or equivalent).

Preferred: Familiarity with sports-related platforms or apps.

Fully Remote: This position is fully remote.

Salary Range: $145,000 - $160,000 (bonus eligible)
