Job Details
Blaze Ads is Automattic’s self-serve advertising product for small businesses using WordPress. We’re looking for a Product Lead to deepen product-market fit and grow customer acquisition. You’ll lead a small, cross-functional team. This is a hands-on role for someone who knows how to build and scale self-serve ad tools.
Responsibilities:
- Own the Blaze product and roadmap.
- Help Blaze grow from a tool primarily for bloggers to one that meets the needs of small businesses getting started online.
- Work closely with engineers and designers to simplify complex ad tech.
- Talk to users constantly and make decisions based on real-world feedback.
- Partner with Automattic products to drive distribution and growth.
Requirements:
- You have 3–6 years of product experience.
- You’ve worked on self-serve advertising products before, ideally for small businesses.
- You understand how ad tech works.
- You care deeply about the customer.
- You’re energized by early-stage problems and don’t need a big team or process to make progress.
- You’re comfortable working independently and thrive in remote environments.
- You may have started out as an engineer, but you’ve been in product roles for a while.
