Our client is a trusted partner in the financial-banking sector in Germany, both in the public and private sectors, offering services for over 150,000 banking workstations and 4,500 employees. Covering over 60% of the German banking sector.
Responsibilities:
- Drive Impact - Identify, understand, and document business needs for a core banking project impacting other areas.
- Bridge Business and IT - Facilitate interactions between business and IT stakeholders in a mixed team (Business Analysts, Developers, UI/UX Designer, Customer Support, Squad Owner).
- Streamline Requirements - Document functional and non-functional requirements, define context, activities, and entity-relationship diagrams, managing dependencies.
- Leverage Expertise - Manage and prioritize product backlog, write and estimate user stories with the development team, contribute to milestones, and define acceptance criteria. Take ownership of the project.
- Strategic Shaping - Manage the product roadmap, propose implementation roadmaps to the customer, understand business objectives, guide stakeholders, and challenge priorities.
- Ensure Outstanding Quality - Perform functional testing.
- Nurture Knowledge - Train, mentor, and coach other Product Owners, scaling knowledge and know-how at the organizational level.
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience in a similar role
- Strong ability to understand business context
- Experience in applying agile methodologies
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage change and work in a dynamic environment
- Proven client-facing and stakeholder management experience, focused on customer needs and business value
- Fluency in English and German
