Production Manager needed to join our client's team in the United States.
Summary: Responsible for executing agrochemical product manufacturing processes, ensuring production meets demand/supply plans, adhering to safety and quality standards, and balancing resources (equipment, materials, staffing).
Responsibilities:
- Onboarding and managing relationships with toll manufacturers, 3PLs, and raw material suppliers (contract negotiation, price negotiation, scheduling, performance tracking).
- Developing and managing the production budget, supporting make-vs-buy cost analyses.
- Scheduling tollers for timely and reliable supply, minimizing downtime, waste disposal costs.
- Monitoring toller performance against production timelines and material usage.
- Planning, negotiating, procuring, and scheduling raw material deliveries (technical, inerts, packaging).
- Adjusting production plans or communicating constraints in response to S&OP plan changes.
- Using ERP (NetSuite), Google Workspace, Tableau, and other tools for production record-keeping (raw material plans, work orders, purchase orders, production reports, end-of-campaign reconciliations).
- Preparing and recording inventory transfers, working with 3PLs and tollers to maintain accurate inventory.
- Completing annual/requested physical inventory counts and reconciliations.
- Preparing and presenting reports/metrics to senior management highlighting achievements and improvement areas.
- Collaborating with quality, regulatory, and EH&S teams for compliance.
- Assisting the Quality Manager in root-cause analyses, corrective actions for quality issues.
- Supporting accounts payable in resolving vendor invoice discrepancies.
- Contributing to process improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, manufacturing, operations, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in chemical toll manufacturing, preferably agrochemical.
- 5+ years of procurement and supply planning experience.
- ERP (NetSuite) experience.
- Google Workspace experience.
- Reporting and analytics tool (e.g., Tableau) experience.
- Ability to travel (up to 15%).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with S&OP process.
- Cost of goods accounting experience.
- Advanced Google Sheets/Excel skills.
- International procurement of technical/other raw materials.
