We are seeking a Property Accountant for Residential that will be responsible for reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining a general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures at our corporate office in Woodland Hills, CA.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Verify and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable – per property
- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status – per property
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with our established schedule
- Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
- Review all inter-company transactions
- Assist with property audits
- Support month-end and year-end close process
Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
Highly proficient with accounting software.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education: 4-year degree (Bachelor's) in Accounting, Business Admin, or related field.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in property management (RESIDENTIAL) accounting preferred.
RealPage Software experience (Preferred not Required)
Schedule: Monday - Friday (9am - 6pm)
Pay: $62,000 +
