Job Details

The Regional Service Manager will cultivate a growth mindset and play an important role in enabling the team to be at their best. You will enhance the TOMRA brand and promote a safety-first culture throughout the company, our customers and our industry. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking, dynamic and experienced Service Manager to lead service activities in our East Coast region and ensure the department is efficient, profitable and customer focused.

Our desired locations for this position include Charlotte, Atlanta and Chicago however we are open to other locations on the East Coast. Relocation options are available for the successful candidate.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive for Achievement   Set the KPI targets in close cooperation with Service Director Americas, in line with the TOMRA Food Strategy Plan  Delivering and achieve the agreed results and drive the performance to affect significant improvement in company target the performance objectives e.g. by monitoring (monthly) revenue information
  • Develop and coach employees though quarterly MBO and annual performance reviews
  • Efficiency   Ensuring successes are repeated and best practice spread for operational excellenceEnsure that corrective action is taken where adverse variations to target achievement occur or inadequate performance is suspected. Instigate actions and strategies to bring about necessary improvementsEnsure accurate recording of parts and service times and invoicing in the Service Department/local hubs
  • Customer Service   Improve on the quality of TOMRA Food commitment to customer service and retention by enhanced facilities, improved technical skills and high standards of quality workmanship as well as best practice in customer handling and communication
  • Financial and Business Management Meet financial targets by owning the assigned budgetDevelop and implement the business short-, medium- and long-term priorities in accordance with the business strategy, to achieve short- and long-term successAccurately plan and forecast the assigned business to include performance, resources and finances
  • People Management & Communication Manage performance, career and succession plans for direct teamDevelop a high performing & accountable team and facilitate team’s achievement of goals & objectivesDevelops productive relationships and maintain an atmosphere of trustEffectively communicates using TOMRA Values and leadership principles as the foundationFosters an environment of teamwork and collaborationPromotes a culture of feedback to ensure understanding

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Leading Others:  Skilled in developing team members and fostering a culture of continuous learningAbility to empower and delegate appropriately, fostering autonomy and accountability within the teamPossess leadership and coaching attributes, enabling the ability to lead and develop a teamExcellent communication skills, both spoken and written, with proficiency in EnglishFacilitate effective interactions with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • EducationBachelor’s degree (electrical, mechanical, or electro-mechanical)
  • ExperienceMinimum of 5 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Skills in applying and using knowledge in a management positionBeing self-motivated and having the proven capacity to fully complete tasksAbility to organize clerical work, administration, control systems and financial resourcesLeadership and coaching attributes
  • Technical, Professional and Engineering qualifications Experience and knowledge of modern business methods and financial control - Skills in using this knowledge in a practical wayExcellent technical problem-solving, troubleshooting, and follow-up skillsExcellent communication skills, very good in spoken and written English 
  • Business experience in support functionAbility to relate to local customers, their views, and issues (preferably experience in the local culture)
  • Travel Extensive domestic and international travel  Ability to obtain a passport Ability to drive without restrictions in residency country
