The Revenue Accounting team plays a critical role within the Finance department, ensuring accurate and compliant revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606. Our focus is on delivering high-quality, audit-ready financial data.
This Revenue Accountant position is essential to managing the operational and technical aspects of revenue recognition. The role will be responsible for reviewing customer contracts, performing revenue allocations, maintaining revenue schedules, and supporting monthly and quarterly closes.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in monthly revenue accounting close activities by preparing journal entries and performing key account reconciliations.
- Assist with revenue reporting and analysis by monitoring customer usage.
- Review contracts to determine revenue recognition under U.S. GAAP, ensuring compliance with ASC 606.
- Assist in the order to cash process, reviewing sales orders to ensure proper revenue recognition and compliance.
- Manage and maintain Net Suite ARM to ensure accurate and compliant revenue recognition.
- Work cross functionally to drive automation efforts to streamline accounting operations.
- Work directly with sales, customer success, revenue operations, and FP&A teams to obtain needed data.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve internal process documentation.
- Perform special technical projects, analysis, and ad hoc reporting.
- Play a key role throughout the company financial audit, preparing & reviewing revenue related schedules for external auditors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or ACCA/CIMA qualified or progress toward certification strongly preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in SaaS revenue accounting with a focus on ASC 606.
- Proficiency with ERP and revenue tools (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce, CPQ).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to support both strategic and hands-on work.
