The SaaS Systems Engineer will be part of a team responsible for day-to-day operation of various SaaS delivery environments, and ongoing initiatives to ensure reliability, scalability, and quality of service.
The successful candidate will be familiar with software development and deployment processes, relational databases, Windows/Linux systems, and have scripting or programming experience. They should also be comfortable with a wide range of platforms, programming languages, protocols, and web technologies to achieve operational efficiency and quality of service.
This role also involves day-to-day support for the company's internal IT infrastructure, including employee help desk, network connectivity, and telecommunications activities.
- Daily Monitoring: Monitor production service delivery to ensure optimal operation and SLA adherence.
- Problem Solving: Identify and solve problems affecting service delivery across applications, shared services, middleware, and databases/data stores.
- Customer Provisioning: Operate and maintain systems supporting new customer, application, and feature provisioning.
- Proactive Action: Provide insight on trends requiring proactive action to stay ahead of customer and corporate requirements.
- Software Design: Participate in software design and development to ensure operational efficiency and architecture services.
- Deployment & Configuration: Manage software deployment and configuration in QA and production environments.
- Tool Development: Develop tools and utilities to support operations and SaaS service delivery.
- Level 2/3 Support: Provide level 2/3 support for customer issues.
- IT Infrastructure Maintenance: Maintain and improve IT infrastructure (servers, laptops/desktops, networks, telecommunications).
- Help Desk Support: Deliver outstanding help desk support to employees.
- Vendor Management: Establish, maintain, and manage vendors for hardware, software, and services.
- System Deficiencies: Identify systems deficiencies and recommend solutions.
- Documentation: Document forecasts, plans, and resolutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Innovate, promote, and drive adoption of tools, technologies, policies, and procedures.
