What we’re looking for: The Sales Manager, Sponsorship & Promotion is responsible for growing live and virtual event product sales. Targets both new and existing customers within the Informa Markets Engineering portfolio for show brands (MD&M, BIOMEDevice, ATX, Plastics, D&M, Packaging, iPBS, and Quality). Manages a sales territory of new and existing customers, collaborating with the event sales team to promote event promotion products. This role is crucial for future success, focusing on "beyond the booth" sales and digital revenue growth. Has sole conference sales responsibility for several events and shared responsibility for promotional products. Collaborates with cross-functional teams for new product and process development.
Role Accountability and Duties:
- Sell the entire portfolio of Conference Sponsorship and Promotions across all assigned brands and venues.
- Increase digital sales for Smart, Virtual, and Live Events (top priority).
- Grow Conference sales across assigned venues.
- Sell Promotions products to new and existing customers for assigned venues.
- Collaborate with Director to discover, develop, and implement new live event and digital content sponsorship opportunities.
- Partner with Content Leaders to identify target sponsors/speakers for Conference tracks.
- Smart Event: Work with Event Directors to identify products, socialize sales pitches, coordinate with Sales Operations for inventory updates, attain platform expertise and demonstrate functionality, collaborate across departments (Sales, Content, Marketing, Event Management, Operations, and Sales Support).
- Take ownership of product set, articulate value proposition, identify/scope new opportunities for digital and sponsorship revenue growth.
- Sell to new small, medium, and high-tier customer accounts with compelling proposals.
- Utilize consultative selling methods to convert prospects to on-site and digital opportunities.
- Handle and respond to customer objections.
- Maintain accurate pipeline, sales activity, and customer information in Salesforce.
- Inform Sales Director of the latest pipeline and booked information through Salesforce reporting, relating to monthly and annual goals.
The salary range for this role is $70,000 to $80,000, plus a commission package.

What you bring to the team:
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience with a proven track record of prospecting and growing revenue.
- 2+ years of event sales experience, including event sponsorship sales (preferred but not required).
- Strong communication skills, ability to identify and pursue cross and up selling opportunities, ask probing questions, manage multiple customers, and maintain high energy.
