Job Details
Senior Account Manager has primary responsibility for helping and managing specific Account Services activities for assigned clients.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing strategies to grow revenue that meets and exceeds assigned objectives, including client development, retention, organic growth, and annual planning.
- Ensuring existing client revenue goals are achieved.
- Leading the development, presentation, and selling of high-quality deliverables.
- Monitoring industry and therapeutic area best practices and advances to ensure Synchrony and clients are at the cutting edge.
- Partnering with Medical to provide best-in-class strategy and support.
- Actively participating in client presentations and defending the agency's point of view.
- Representing the organization appropriately.
- Supporting the Senior Account Director in new business efforts and development opportunities.
- Supporting the Senior Account Director in creating and submitting RFPs, proposals, and pitch decks.
- Leading internal cross-functional core teams and clients on strategic and tactical plans, design, and execution of innovative pharmaceutical advertising and marketing initiatives.
- Managing key constituent relationships with over $2 million of business.
- Attending client meetings and communicating key learnings and action items.
- Managing client strategy and objectives in balance with internal team needs.
- Initiating and managing projects.
- Defining project strategic objectives and budget, including completing Strategic Briefs, Project Briefs, and SOWs.
- Leading kickoff meetings with clients, vendors, and key opinion leaders.
- Reviewing deliverables to ensure project objectives, quality standards, and client expectations are met.
- Monitoring and managing assigned activities for timely delivery.
- Ensuring content/messaging and design are consistent with product strategy and client expectations.
- Resolving conflict, celebrating success, and setting clear team priorities.
- Managing individual project budgets (forecast, expenses, accruals).
- Developing client SOWs or project initiation forms independently.
- Monitoring budget and hours, and communicating financial details and changes in scope.
- Partnering with the client to resolve financial issues.
- Verifying that billing schedule milestones are communicated to Finance.
- Maintaining effective interpersonal skills and focus on account services, strategic marketing/advertising, and business processes.
- Presenting ideas and rationale to internal and external teams.
- Demonstrating diplomacy, negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
- Exhibiting strong leadership, integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
- Identifying key issues and overcoming challenges.
- Maintaining attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical thinking.
- Demonstrating strong marketing and advertising skills.
- Communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
- Developing persuasive presentations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 3 years' experience in advertising and account/client services support in pharmaceutical marketing.
- History of successfully managing over $1 million of fee/year.
- Specific industry and/or therapeutic expertise.
- Experience leading print, digital, and video advertising initiatives.
