Full-Time Senior Accountant

Job Summary

At Diverzify+ and our Family of Brands, our Senior Accountant is responsible for coordinating multiple accounting duties within our organization. This includes preparing financial reports, monthly financial closes, journal entries, account reconciliations, maintaining the General Ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with year-end audit preparations, and performing other ad-hoc accounting duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate accounting functions and programs.
• Prepare financial analyses and reports. (i.e., Reconciliations, Accruals, and Review, etc.)
• Prepare revenue projections and forecasting expenditures. (i.e., Job Costing Analysis, Income Statement Analysis, etc.)
• Assist with preparing and monitoring budgets and statements. (i.e., Income Statements & Financial Statements)
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheets and general ledger accounts.
• Assist with annual audit preparations.
• Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
• Assist payroll with Union audits.
• Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
• Keep up to date with the latest regulatory and legislative requirements.
• Perform other account duties and support junior staff as required or assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong knowledge of tax laws and GAAP.
• Strong financial analysis skills.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in Senior Accountant role or similar.
• Strong background using Microsoft Excel (i.e., PivotTables, VLOOKUP. etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using IFS and/or Adaptive.
• Background in Construction Accounting.
• Experience using Cube is highly desired.
