About the role: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. You will work closely with the Controller and Finance team to support complete and accurate financial statements used internally and externally. This role involves preparing financial statements, maintaining general ledgers, preparing journal entries and account reconciliations, and assisting with ad hoc projects.
Core Responsibilities:
- Own month-end close process.
- Create and post journal entries.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts for accuracy.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements adhering to GAAP.
- Maintain financial records and systems.
- Maintain and update chart of accounts and general ledger in Xero/NetSuite.
- Support new ERP implementation.
- Assist Controller with annual audit requests (supporting documentation and schedules).
- Document policies and processes for improvements.
- Assist with drafting memos for key accounting procedures.
- Document current processes for repeatability.
- Apply accounting principles to improve and develop new processes.
Impact & Success Indicators:
- Learn current financial reporting processes (first 90 days).
- Understand business and operational impacts on financial statements (first 90 days).
- Analyze and improve current processes (first year).
- Own financial statement preparation, including P&L analysis (first year).
- Partner cross-functionally for relevant reporting (first year).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA preferred.
- 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally at a scaling early-stage company.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficient in Excel and G-Suite tools.
- Experience running a month-end close cycle.
- Experience interpreting and applying GAAP.
- NetSuite proficiency preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accountability.

Compensation & Benefits: $108,000-$127,000 (full-time, exempt). Additional perks include equity, PTO, paid holidays, comprehensive benefits, and professional development opportunities.
