This role can be fully remote for candidates based in the states of São Paulo and Rio Grande do Sul as well as in the cities of Rio de Janeiro, and Belo Horizonte, due to team distribution and occasional in-person opportunities.
The OpportunityTELUS Digital is seeking a proficient AI Engineer passionate about the technology, ready to implement research concepts into tangible and production-ready solutions for our global clients.
As an AI Engineer, you will be instrumental in applying and integrating generative AI models to enhance digital products, while also applying best coding, testing, and monitoring practices, making AI accessible and valuable in a real-world context.
Responsibilities
- Apply your knowledge of AI systems and software engineering to develop solutions.
- Partner with Data Science and Data Engineering professionals to address complex technical challenges.
- Take ownership of implementing and optimizing applied AI components.
- Navigate and manipulate generative AI models (LLMs).
- Develop and incorporate AI solutions adhering to industry best practices.
- Understand and apply Responsible AI concepts.
- Lead in designing, measuring, and evaluating AI model outputs.
- Translate AI research and PoCs into production-ready features.
- Drive the selection and application of evaluation metrics.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience in applied AI, machine learning, NLP, LLMs, and statistical analysis.
- Strong understanding of the trade-offs between generative AI models.
- Experience with data embeddings and vector databases.
- Experience in architecting and developing solutions that integrate generative AI.
- Proficient in the Python language.
- Skilled in creating and adjusting prompts for complex AI systems.
- Familiarity with testing and evaluating AI systems.
- Hands-on experience deploying software on cloud platforms and utilizing AI tools (AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Services, Vertex AI).
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
