AECOM Sports and Venues practice seeks a Senior Architectural Construction Administrator for immediate employment. Remote role, expected to run till Fall 2026.
Lead construction administration activities on a current Sports project in Orlando, FL.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise construction activities related to contract administration, scope, schedule, budget, quality, and change management.
- Coordinate design team and construction manager throughout GMP bid, award, construction, and close-out phases.
- Manage AECOM representatives onsite and coordinate other design disciplines.
- Review pre-construction documents, coordinate AECOM team comments.
- Prepare progress reports for design team and client.
- Participate in weekly Owner, Architect, Contractor (OAC) meetings.
- Coordinate construction administration efforts.
- Convey information through various means (photographs, narratives, sketches) for schedule maintenance.
- Coordinate with public agencies and owners, contractors, and project staff.
- Monitor daily contractor activities, review schedules, and respond to RFIs.
- Review contractor substitution submittals.
- Review, comment, and recommend on Contractor Change Order Proposals and address schedule impacts.
- Review Certificates for Payment and advise the owner on completed work.
- Administer Professional Service Agreements and monitor payments.
- Monitor and manage project close-out, substantial completion, and Contractor completion.
- Make all construction administration decisions except those involving aesthetics and design.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS + 8 years in managing construction administration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, codes, scheduling.
- 10+ years experience managing construction administration.
- Experience with projects exceeding $100M.
- BIM experience
- LEED certified projects experience
- DSA construction/design experience
- OSHA Safety Regulations knowledge (OSHA 30 minimum)
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- E-Builder experience (preferred)
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to make decisions promptly.
