Full-Time Senior Buyer - IDS

Senior Buyer is responsible for executing procurement strategies, including planning procurement and scheduling of raw materials, services, and supplies, sourcing or negotiating with vendors, and realizing cost savings.

Responsibilities include:

• Analyzing MRP to determine order placement, expediting/de-expediting orders.
• Cultivating supplier relationships for long-term growth.
• Soliciting vendor bids/quotes.
• Negotiating favorable prices, minimum order quantities, shipping/payment terms.
• Checking, reconciling, and approving invoices.
• Reducing inventory (raw materials, WIP, finished goods) while optimizing service and increasing inventory turns.
• Interpreting technical specifications and drawings.
• Developing and maintaining records/files.
• Assessing customer needs.
• Supporting materials/operation direction setting.
• Assessing systems for improvement opportunities.
• Maintaining communications between purchasing, engineering, and manufacturing.
• Reviewing plant demand and resource availability.
• Ensuring materials availability for production schedule.
• Assessing and improving inventory accuracy.
• Improving communication/materials flow with supply chain partners.
• Executing sourcing strategies in line with division/corporate objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (Business, Supply Chain Management, or related)
• 4-6 years' experience in buying, purchasing, or related fields.
• CPSM certification (preferred)
• Strong understanding of purchasing techniques and logistical supply chain.
• Experience assisting Purchasing Manager in vendor selection and contract negotiation.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google, ERP systems, and related software.
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong purchasing skills with strong business acumen
• Ability to travel up to 10%
