About You
You possess a strong foundation in marketing data and metrics and have a deep understanding of data visualization principles. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing digital performance data, and driving insights that improve customer conversion and ROI (Return on Investment). The ideal candidate will have a combination of analytical skills, data visualization skills and hands-on experience with Google Analytics, tag management systems, and marketing metrics, as well as the ability to translate data into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What You'll Be Doing
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze digital performance data from various channels, including websites, campaigns, and marketing platforms, to uncover insights that improve customer engagement, conversion, and retention.
- Monitor and report on KPIs, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards that clearly communicate trends, performance, and actionable insights.
Data Visualization & Communication:
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and impactful representations of data using tools such as (Tableau, Looker Studio or Google Query Language)
- Present key findings to stakeholders in a clear and engaging manner.
- Present complex data insights and findings in a clear and actionable way for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Translate raw data into meaningful recommendations that drive strategic and tactical marketing campaign decisions.
Marketing Metrics & Optimization:
- Leverage marketing data and metrics to identify areas for campaign and performance improvement.
- Provide actionable recommendations to optimize marketing strategies, including paid media, SEO, and SEM efforts, based on data-driven insights.
- Support A/B testing initiatives and contribute to the optimization of digital channels to enhance user experience and conversion rates.
Web Analytics:
- Configure and manage web analytics tracking using Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and other relevant platforms.
- Ensure accurate data collection and reporting by auditing client GA4 properties.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support:
- Collaborate closely with the Digital Media and Strategy & Planning teams, including Paid Search, Paid Social, Display, and SEO specialists, to strategize on data-driven insights.
- Your role will involve crafting compelling narratives from data and identifying the key inputs needed to achieve impactful client data visualization goals.
- Act as a liaison between data analysts, digital marketing teams, and client stakeholders, both internal and external, ensuring data accuracy and integrity throughout all stages of the data pipeline.
- Facilitate open communication across teams to ensure alignment on campaign objectives, analytical needs, and the delivery of actionable insights that drive performance improvements.
- Support marketing efforts by refining data collection strategies, ensuring that all relevant KPIs are tracked, and work collaboratively to troubleshoot any data discrepancies or gaps.
Data Governance and Quality:
- Ensure data integrity and quality by following and implementing best practices for data collection, management, and reporting.
- Participate in data governance initiatives to uphold standards and compliance.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and optimization in data handling and reporting.
- Streamline workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
- Contribute to the creation and ongoing maintenance of comprehensive process documentation, ensuring full visibility and alignment across the data team and key stakeholders, facilitating transparency and consistency.
Qualifications
Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Marketing, Business, or a related field. Relevant certifications in Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager, or data visualization tools are a plus.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in digital analytics, web analytics, or a related field. Strong hands-on experience with Tableau Software and experience working with other data visualization tools such as Looker Studio, Google Query Language. Proven ability to work with marketing data and metrics Experience working with Google Analytics. Solid understanding of digital marketing channels, including SEO, paid search, display ads, and email marketing.
Skills & Competencies:
- Ability to work with large datasets and distill complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Strong analytical skills and a results-driven mindset with a focus on improving customer conversion and marketing ROI.
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas) and SQL for data analysis and database querying.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with web development concepts (HTML, JavaScript) for tag management implementation and troubleshooting is a plus.
- Bonus if you have Experience with additional analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics. Martech experience across any ABX platforms, such as 6sense, Demandbase, Terminus, Bombora. CRM experience with Salesforce. Marketing Automation experience with platforms such as HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot. Experience with cloud-based data warehousing systems such as BigQuery and Snowflake. Hands-on experience with tag management systems such as Google Tag Manager or Adobe Tag Manager (Launch).
