The Senior Digital Buildings Consultant drives digital transformation across building portfolios, blending deep systems engineering expertise with consultative leadership.
This role translates client challenges into measurable performance outcomes.
As part of the FPC Technology Advisory team, the role focuses on the successful delivery of projects and services for real estate clients across global markets.
This position acts as both technical lead and project manager.
Beyond project delivery, the Senior Digital Buildings Consultant contributes to the continued growth and development of FPC’s Digital Building Services capability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program and Project Management: Lead and deliver consultancy and systems engineering projects in Digital Building technologies.
- Client Management: Understand and develop customer requirements and business objectives.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project teams.
- Expertly manage complex, multi-stakeholder programs.
- Services and Solutions Delivery: Provide support, advice, and collaborate on Digital Building and IoT systems integration, technologies, initiatives, and solutions, processes, and standards.
- Demonstrate strong technical expertise in Digital Building technologies.
- Focus on Digital Building Controls Systems.
- Work with various Controls Strategies and Protocols (e.g., BACnet, MQTT, Modbus, LON, DALI).
- Performance Optimization: Utilize digital building systems, controls (BACnet, MQTT), and data analytics to optimize building performance, reduce energy consumption, and identify faults.
- Secure Sustainable Design: Consult on integrating sustainable design into all Digital Building architectures and standards.
- Secure Integration and Risk Management: Implement cybersecurity best practices.
- Technical Governance and Compliance: Govern technology solutions to align with goals, manage risks, and ensure quality and compliance.
- Industry Expertise: Maintain expertise, knowledge, and understanding of industry trends, developments, and initiatives.
- Business Development: Identify potential revenue opportunities for the FPC business line.
- FPC Responsibilities: Represent FPC in a professional manner.
- Team Management: Mentor and contribute to the professional development of Team Members.
The Digital Buildings Consultant should possess experience and qualifications in the following:
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of Digital Building and IoT industry experience.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Controls, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Core Technical Knowledge: Strong technical expertise in Digital Building Systems Integration design, development and implementation.
- Consulting Skills: Effective Stakeholder Management and communication skills.
- Tactical problem solver:. Experienced in developing technical solutions aligned to client objectives.
- Competent using Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office software applications.
