Full-Time Senior Director - Construction

The Director of Construction is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of all construction projects. This role demands a seasoned professional with deep expertise in construction management, project leadership, and cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities include:

• Leadership & Strategic Oversight: Provide leadership to the construction department. Develop and implement construction strategies. Act as the primary liaison with executive leadership.
• Integrated Project Management: Oversee all phases of construction from pre-construction through final delivery. Align construction timelines with interior design schedules. Lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and forecasting.
• Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, lead, and mentor a high-performing team. Foster a collaborative culture. Support the professional development of team members.
• Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement: Collaborate with architects, engineers, designers, contractors, and subcontractors. Manage relationships with clients, vendors, and key stakeholders.
• Quality Assurance & Safety Compliance: Establish and enforce strict quality control standards and procedures. Conduct regular site visits. Promote a culture of safety and compliance.
• Financial & Resource Management: Create and manage construction budgets. Track expenditures and ensure cost-effective resource allocation.
• Risk Management & Contingency Planning: Anticipate potential risks. Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.

Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field Required and Master's Degree Preferred. 10+ years in construction management required. 5+ years as a senior leader required. Demonstrated success leading large-scale, complex projects. Proven experience managing teams, budgets, schedules, and stakeholder communications. Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and industry regulations. Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills. Proficiency in construction management tools and software.
