As the Senior Director of Technical Program Management, you will be a key driver of efficiency, growth, and scalability at PayNearMe.
This role focuses on establishing and scaling strategic technical program management practices to align operational processes with long-term business objectives.
Reporting to the VP of Business Operations and partnering closely with our Product and Engineering leadership, you will oversee and ensure the delivery of our total portfolio of technical projects and programs.
Responsibilities
- Leadership and Governance: Provide oversight and program leadership across PayNearMe's technical project and program portfolio to drive successful execution.
- Operational Excellence: Determine and implement technical project management best practices to ensure efficient and effective delivery.
- Program and Project Management: Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and other business partners to develop and implement strategic technical program plans; Promote clear visibility and elevate progress updates across senior leadership teams, executives, internal project team members, and stakeholders to create, measure, and communicate program goals, plans, milestones, timelines, and metrics for projects.
- Release Management: Oversee the release management process ensuring timely, high-quality software deployments.
- Team Leadership and Growth: Lead efforts to scale and standardize the TPM function across the organization, creating frameworks and fostering innovation. Play the role of player coach.
Qualifications
- Education: B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 10+ years of technical program management experience, leading complex technology projects and programs. 5+ years of people management experience leading teams.
- Proven experience: Identifying and addressing systemic inefficiencies and scaling technical programs.
- Expertise: Agile and Scrum frameworks, and application in product development and delivery.
- Other Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, influencing across virtual teams and disparate stakeholder groups.
