Full-Time Senior Environmental Engineer

AECOM seeks a highly skilled and motivated Senior Environmental Engineer specializing in groundwater and subsurface modeling.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and executing hydrogeologic studies, including conceptual site models and numerical models.
• Applying modeling codes (MODFLOW, MT3DMS, etc.) and visualization tools for groundwater/surface water interactions.
• Synthesizing environmental data (geological, hydrological, chemical) for effective solutions.
• Preparing detailed technical reports, including data interpretation, modeling results, and remedial design recommendations.
• Managing and coordinating projects for quality, schedule, and budget adherence.
• Leading proposal development, client presentations, and project meetings.
• Using GIS for site data visualizations.
• Mentoring junior staff.
• Experience with surface and groundwater models, stormwater BMPs, site design, and state/local land disturbance permits is required.
• Strong skills in quantitative analysis, technical writing, and design experience are essential.
• Experience in proposal development and project management is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications include a BA/BS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Hydrogeology or related field and 6+ years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications include a Master's degree, 7+ years' experience in groundwater modeling/hydrogeologic investigations, PE registration, proficiency in modeling tools (like Groundwater Vistas or GMS), demonstrated experience in contaminant fate and transport modeling, strong analytical skills, excellent technical writing/verbal communication, project management experience, and experience with visualization software (e.g., C-Tech EVS).

Additional Requirements include:

• Knowledge of environmental regulatory requirements and compliance.
• Understanding of surface water hydrology, hydraulics, and hydrodynamics.
• Experience with PFAS modeling and regulatory guidance.
