Full-Time Senior Fundraising Strategist

Position Summary: The Senior Fundraising Strategist engages Mozilla supporters to meet grassroots fundraising goals, growing the donor base globally. This includes soliciting existing and prospective donors and creating mission-aligned content.

Principal Responsibilities:

1. Develop engaging fundraising campaigns aligned with Mozilla's mission.
2. Pitch ideas to engage the global community and grow the donor base.
3. Support end-of-year fundraising strategy planning and execution.
4. Nurture one-time and recurring donors to increase support levels.
5. Re-engage lapsed donors.
6. Identify A/B testing priorities and create testing plans.
7. Analyze results and optimize the fundraising program.
8. Research trends and best practices in the nonprofit sector.
9. Write compelling fundraising content for email, website, and more.
10. Develop fundraising content aligned with advocacy campaigns.
11. Convey technical subject matter clearly and accessibly.
12. Create automated email campaigns to increase donor engagement and giving.
13. Prepare experiment write-ups for A/B tests.
14. Support non-fundraising community mobilization efforts.
15. Collaborate on projects to deliver a personalized donor experience.
16. Contribute to email calendaring and quality assurance.
17. Refine processes to provide best-in-class supporter experiences.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years digital fundraising or digital campaigning experience (nonprofit experience preferred).
• Excellent email writing skills and experience empowering supporters.
• Experience writing emails for large-scale (1+ million subscriber) lists.
• Proven ability to develop online donor recruitment strategies.
• Ability to research, analyze complex issues, and translate them into fundraising opportunities.
• Strong analytical, communication (oral, written, social) skills in English.
• Familiarity with CRM and campaigning tools (Salesforce, Campaign Monitor, ActionKit).
• Experience managing cross-team projects, including technical staff.
• Self-starter, team player, adheres to schedules and timelines.
• Remote work experience preferred.
