We’re seeking a highly motivated Senior Manager of Product Creation, Apparel near Denver, CO. You’ll play a crucial role in developing remarkable product experiences, focusing on agile project management and material/product creation decisions.
Your responsibilities include:
- Deep Customer Immersion: Proactively understand customer needs, pain points, and gain actionable insights for product improvements.
- Effective Communication: Clearly communicate consumer needs to suppliers and support development efforts for quality improvements and timely production.
- Agile Development Culture: Embrace a fast-moving, iterative product development approach, including pivoting quickly, testing ideas, and learning from failures.
- Minimum Viable Products: Focus on minimum viable products, recognizing the point of diminishing returns in development.
- Innovative Product Capabilities: Partner with suppliers to develop innovative product capabilities and new material concepts.
- Agile Project Management: Adapt to shifting priorities using 3-week sprint cycles and maintaining timeline management across various resources.
- Product Commercialization & Sourcing: Maintain product commercialization reporting and contribute to sourcing plans.
- Tech Pack Execution: Execute, scale, and maintain tech packs for clear development direction.
- Fit & Performance Improvement: Coordinate fit sessions to drive fit, comfort, construction, and performance improvements, and relay needs to suppliers.
- Color Palettes: Manage seasonal color palettes, including new colors and prints.
- Design Reviews & Production Readiness: Participate in design reviews and support production readiness for graphic and print files.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assurance through Top of Production reviews, bulk inspections, and inline inspections.
- Quality Manuals: Contribute to the development and upkeep of quality manuals.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in apparel or industrial design and development.
- Expert knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and pattern solutions.
- Experience managing overseas suppliers.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Strong understanding of consumer needs and work environments.
- Proven success in managing design and development projects.
- Experience with PLM systems and project management methodologies.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary ($85,000 - $95,000 base + bonus)
