A Day in the Life A typical work week involves 35 hours on client projects, with 5 hours for individual goals and team meetings.

Success at Headway Initial weeks involve meeting team members and understanding product development. "Headway 101" sessions cover project management, design, business analysis, development, and tools.

Ongoing Support Weekly meetings with team leads focus on individual needs, project status, and team issues.

Performance Reviews Quarterly reviews discuss successes and growth areas. Annual performance assessments and salary reviews are conducted, with potential merit-based raises at any time.

Position Description As a Senior Developer, you'll focus on client and user needs, ensuring successful releases. You will:

• Set project direction aligned with Headway standards.
• Create architecture diagrams, flowcharts, and ER diagrams.
• Enforce development process and consistency.
• Perform development critiques and QA on pull requests.
• Suggest refactoring to reduce technical debt.
• Conduct pairing sessions to improve developer skills and professionalism.
• Perform QA of code quality, interfaces, architecture, and user experience.
• Interface with clients during sprint planning and retros.
• Drive meetings and development with user story mapping and prioritization.
• Assess potential hires for technical ability and team fit.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional mobile development experience (React Native experience required).
• 5+ years of general development experience (Consulting experience a plus).
• Experience with or willingness to learn native iOS and Android.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience working with businesses at various growth stages.
• Experience with full-stack technologies (Ruby on Rails, Phoenix/Elixir, or Node) a plus.
