Full-Time Senior Permitting Specialist

AECOM is seeking a Senior Permitting Specialist to work remotely.

SUMMARY: This role supports efficient regulatory permitting for Central Valley construction projects, overseeing permit applications, amendments, and compliance documentation in alignment with standards. Coordinates with internal teams, leadership, and regulatory agencies.

1. Support development of strategy, preparation, and acquisition of regulatory permits and approvals, and amendments, under Sections 401 and 404 of the Clean Water Act, Section 7 of the federal Endangered Species Act, Section 2081 of the California Endangered Species Act, and Section 1600 of the California Fish and Game Code.
2. Support procurement of compensatory mitigation by evaluating compensatory mitigation requirements, analyzing market availability, preparing procurement documents, and managing mitigation contracts.
3. Assist with construction and maintenance-phase compliance, including responding to potential noncompliance events, regulatory agency inquiries and requests, emergency response activities, and reporting.
4. Supervise preparation and submittal of compliance documentation to leadership and regulatory agencies.
5. Retrieve data and prepare reports using proprietary database environmental mitigation management application.
