Internal Platform is a crucial foundation, speeding up product development by providing a reliable, scalable, self-service ecosystem. It supports the entire software lifecycle and is tailored to the organization's needs. The platform enables development teams to operate autonomously in most cases, decreasing dependency on the Internal Platform team. Compliance, security, and business continuity are integrated across the platform.
Platform Security is a team responsible for the security and integrity of the underlying infrastructure, safeguarding against vulnerabilities, threats, and attacks. They develop and maintain tools for Global Security to deliver vulnerability management platforms for application triaging and continuous compliance.
Challenges include the complexity of the Docplanner organization, with multiple teams and varied technology stacks. Scalability and reliability of systems are also key considerations given growth.
Key Stakeholders include: Global Security, PMS teams, Core Internal Platform Team, Experience Teams, and Legal.
Impact on Mission includes ensuring platform compliance (ISO27001, C5, SOC2), introducing security at all lifecycle stages, mitigating threats, optimizing scalability and cost efficiency, developing and maintaining Kubernetes clusters, CI/CD, ensuring high availability of services, and supporting team members.
Experience Requirements include at least 5 years of security experience, strong Kubernetes & container orchestration skills, CNI/Service Mesh (e.g., Calico, Cilium) proficiency, vulnerability management experience, Hashicorp Vault knowledge, Terraform and CI/CD tool experience, AWS HA environment experience, and network security (e.g., AWS WAF/Cloudflare) knowledge. English communication (B2 level) is essential, as well as the ability to promote security best practices.
