Tether and its affiliated entities are searching for a Senior Policy and Licensing Specialist to join our Regulatory and Licensing team.
The successful candidate possesses a deep understanding of legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to the crypto-asset industry in the LatAm region.
Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Strategy Development: Develop and execute regulatory strategies, identifying preferable markets in the region.
- Regulatory Advocacy and Collaboration: Participate in regulatory agency interactions, engage with authorities and policymakers, and advocate for policies that promote innovation and compliance.
- Policy Analysis and Guidance: Analyze local regulatory proposals, advise the business on potential risks and opportunities, and influence regulatory frameworks.
- Regulatory Approval Process: Contribute to obtaining necessary license approvals in identified markets.
- Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and address emerging challenges.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years regulatory experience within financial services or crypto-asset industry.
- Expertise in applying key regulatory frameworks in LatAm.
- Experience preparing regulatory analysis, consulting responses, and engaging with regulatory authorities.
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong team player and willingness to engage with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English.
- University degree.
