Full-Time Senior Product Manager - AI Safety Patterns

About the role The Safety team builds intelligent systems combining computer vision, sensor data, road context, and behavioral patterns to detect risk and prevent accidents. You will use AI to understand the world and associated risks, enabling vehicles with safety-critical information before arrival (e.g., weather changes, construction zones, intersection risks). Samsara saves hundreds of lives annually. This role will help us take this to the next level by better understanding risk patterns. This is a remote position open to candidates residing anywhere in Canada. Relocation assistance is not provided.

In this role, you will:

• Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of the AI Safety Patterns product area, balancing speed of delivery with long-term value.
• Work with engineering teams to launch new products for a fast-growing business with $1 Billion+ in ARR.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their business needs, feedback, and roadmap.
• Identify new product opportunities and manage them from concept to launch.
• Act as a product owner ensuring a high-standard user experience.
• Lead by example using AI tools to accelerate product development, customer research, and decision-making.
• Partner with Sales to close strategic accounts.
• Champion Samsara's cultural principles (Customer Success, Long-Term Vision, Growth Mindset, Inclusion, Teamwork).

Minimum requirements: 8+ years of product management experience or relevant experience, launching 0-to-1 products and driving business outcomes. Strong B2B SaaS background, experience with enterprise customers. Hands-on approach, detail-oriented, defining features and demoing products, supporting sales. Excellent problem-solving skills, simplifying complex problems to focus on customer impact. Technical aptitude to work with technical teams. Strong ownership mentality. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills. Strong business acumen.

An ideal candidate also has:

• Technical background (e.g., engineering, computer science degree).
• Experience with hardware and software product development, safety-focused domains.
• Knowledge of transportation, logistics, or industrial operations.
• Proven ability to manage pricing, revenue accountability, and go-to-market strategy.
• Entrepreneurial experience or background in high-growth environments.

Salary Range $138,550 - $179,300 CAD
