At Weights & Biases, we build tools for AI developers. We started with experiment tracking and expanded to a comprehensive AI platform for deep learning and generative AI. We're a Series C company with $250M in funding and over 200 employees, serving over 1,000 customers and 30 foundation model builders, including OpenAI, NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Toyota.
We seek a Senior Product Manager to lead strategy and execution for our SDK and core backend systems (storage and metrics infrastructure). This critical role supports core MLOps workflows for thousands of ML practitioners.
Your Responsibilities
- Set product direction for the W&B SDK, ensuring intuitive, extensible design, and positive developer experience.
- Partner with engineering to prioritize improvements to metrics ingestion, storage, and retrieval.
- Define and track success metrics for SDK adoption, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with developer advocates, GTM, and support teams to address pain points and translate feedback into product enhancements.
- Partner with security and infrastructure teams for scaling across enterprise, SaaS, and airgapped deployments.
Your Qualifications
- 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in developer tools, SDKs, or technical infrastructure.
- Strong communication with engineers about APIs, storage, performance, and distributed systems.
- Understanding of ML engineers' and researchers' needs (or eagerness to quickly learn).
- Passion for building intuitive tools for technical users.
- Structured problem-solving skills, comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change.
- Strong user research skills, keen curiosity, and a focus on developer experience.
- Value clarity, empathy, communication, and quality.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with Python libraries, open-source tooling, or metrics systems.
- Scaling or optimizing storage and ingestion pipelines.
- Familiarity with MySQL, Kubernetes, Terraform, and major cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure).
- Understanding of ML workflows and experimentation needs.
