Full-Time Senior Quality Engineer

Job Description:

We’re AffiniPay, a leading fintech company in Austin, Texas. We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in software and SaaS testing, specifically front-end and back-end testing for Linux-based SaaS applications.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and track manual testing efforts using TestRail.
• Conduct regular test plan reviews with stakeholders.
• Identify, report, and track defects using issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira, DataDog).
• Collaborate with development teams to resolve defects.
• Develop and maintain testing documentation (test plans, cases, scripts).
• Ensure tests are integrated into CI/CD pipeline and automated tests are run.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
• Participate in retrospectives and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of software testing experience, focusing on front-end and back-end testing.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with MySQL databases and SQL queries.
• Strong skills in writing, maintaining, and updating comprehensive test cases.
• Proficiency in the MacOS operating system and command-line interfaces.
• Proven expertise in Agile Scrum methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Experience with industry-standard testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Pytest).
• Experience with back-end API testing using tools like Postman.
• Experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail).
• Experience in Agile environments, understanding Scrum and Kanban.
