Backed by over $220 million of investment, we create technology for accessible, transparent, and collaborative communication. We empower 20,000+ customers (and growing) to make authentic, human connections.
Conversation is a cornerstone of our culture. Everyone, from Paris to New York to Sydney to London to Berlin, has a voice valued. Whatever your background, join the conversation.
As a Senior Security Engineer, you'll maintain a strong security posture on our infrastructure, applications, and processes, supporting teams in delivering customer value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Embed security early in the software development lifecycle by collaborating with engineering teams on secure coding practices, automated security testing, and threat modeling.
- Develop and implement security guardrails to allow developers and infrastructure teams to self-serve secure frameworks and best practices.
- Conduct security reviews for new features, services, and infrastructure changes to identify and mitigate risks before deployment.
- Design and implement AI-driven security solutions (machine learning for anomaly detection, threat intelligence, automated response).
- Develop automation for vulnerability management, compliance reporting, and security operations.
- Build and maintain security-as-code templates, playbooks, and CI/CD-integrated controls, enabling frictionless secure deployments.
- Provide internal tooling and training for teams to manage security risks.
- Advocate for a DevSecOps culture by mentoring teams and driving security awareness.
- Harden Aircall's SaaS infrastructure with scalable, cloud-native security solutions (AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform).
- Strengthen API and application security with best practices for authentication, authorization, and data handling.
- Monitor and improve security observability across all environments through logs, alerts, and threat detection.
- Own and improve incident detection and response capabilities for rapid containment and resolution.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of security experience involving public clouds (preferably AWS).
- Strong development background with secure coding practices.
- Experience with automation and AI-driven security (ML-based threat detection, security automation tools).
- DevSecOps expertise, integrating security tools into DevOps workflows (SAST, DAST, IaC scanning, runtime protection).
- Shift-left focus to make security a seamless part of engineering workflows.
- Self-service mindset to build security guardrails and automation.
- Problem-solver and automation-first thinker.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to partner with developers, SREs, and product teams.
- Security evangelist to educate teams on risks and best practices.
