Jackbox Games is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our remote team.
About Jackbox Games: We are a small game studio known for our Jackbox Party Pack franchise. Our games have been featured on major platforms.
Role Overview: As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will focus on maintaining our AWS-based infrastructure (70%) and building Go applications (30%) to enhance user experience. You will also mentor peers.
- SRE Responsibilities (70%):
- Architect and manage highly available AWS ECS systems.
- Use Terraform for automated infrastructure provisioning.
- Improve observability using CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks.
- Optimize system performance for efficiency.
- Mentor team members in SRE best practices.
- Application Development (30%):
- Develop backend applications in Go.
- Build tools to streamline SRE workflows.
- Support CI/CD workflows.
- Participate in code reviews and documentation.
Requirements:
- 5+ years SRE/DevOps experience with AWS.
- Strong Go development skills.
- AWS expertise (ECS, EC2, S3).
- Experience with containerization (ECS) and IaC (Terraform).
- Proficiency with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Proven ability to set up automated testing frameworks.
- Scripting skills (Go, Python, Bash).
- Mentoring experience.
