Mission: To enable state and local governments to modernize transactions through innovative SaaS solutions and seamless payments.
About the Role: We seek an experienced technology leader to lead the design and implementation of the GovOS Platform and Applications. This role provides technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop architecture solutions, including designs and standards for enterprise-wide cloud implementation.
- Define the long-term technical strategic direction of IT solutions (Technical Roadmap).
- Work with engineers and product managers to provide architectural vision.
- Develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) for clear solution designs.
- Understand intentional and emergent design principles.
- Mentor teams on Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) like reliability, scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Communicate architecture details to development teams.
- Oversee adherence to SDLC process (architecture reviews, code reviews).
- Monitor systems and recommend/implement monitoring tools.
- Analyze business requirements for new development.
- Work on complex enterprise-wide projects.
- Participate in establishing an automated DevOps release pipeline.
- Troubleshoot and resolve high-priority customer issues.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years hands-on development experience (Java, Ruby, NodeJS, C++, C#)
- 5+ years cloud software design (microservices, messaging, serverless)
- 8+ years Azure/AWS experience
- Deep experience in PaaS and IaaS environments
- Expert in .NET 6+, .NET Framework
- SQL Server expertise
- CI/CD pipeline experience (Chef, Puppet, Azure DevOps)
- Experience in web-based, service-based, and enterprise application architectures
- Agile development experience
- Knowledge of SaaS compliance (SOC2, PCI, GDPR)
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Compensation: $160,000 - $170,000 annual base + bonus
