Strategic Sourcing Manager Scope: Provide value (e.g., hitting savings targets, reducing risk, meeting stakeholder needs), build strong internal relationships, and drive enterprise-wide sourcing, category management, and contract negotiation. Manage work stream and supplier contracts from development to signature.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive best value supplier selection for over $600M spend.
- Practice category management and sourcing (HR, Finance, Tax, Contingent Workforce, Sales, GTM, Benefits, Workplace Services, Facilities, Real Estate, Security).
- Ensure sourcing enables business value, governs spend, and reduces risk.
- Manage and advise on sourcing/contracting, evaluating, negotiating, and contracting with suppliers.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement sourcing industry trends.
- Partner with business functions for consultation and strategy integration.
- Develop strong advisor/partner relationship with legal for best contracting practices.
- Build/maintain a world-class team of employees and service partners.
Experience Requirements:
- 10+ years in strategic/operational sourcing/procurement in a high-growth environment.
- Demonstrated experience in Professional Services category (IT Services, Contingent Workforce, Consulting, etc.).
- Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and project management skills.
- Deep knowledge of contract development, strong customer focus.
- Proven success in developing/implementing strategy, governance, structure in dynamic environments.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, strategic planning, and execution skills.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and executives.
- Understanding of business-oriented financial concepts, analysis, budget formulation.
- Relevant industry designations (CPP, CPPM, etc.) preferred.
- MBA preferred.
