The Senior Technical Writer | Security Content Developer will develop and improve cloud security documentation for employees, customers, and partners, focusing initially on AI. The role also includes editorial review of existing collateral, and improving collateral creation/maintenance processes.
Responsibilities include:
- New Content Creation: Create internal and external collateral (white papers, blog posts, presentations, knowledge base articles, etc.) focusing on AI, collaborating with security subject matter experts. Explain complex technical information clearly and concisely.
- Collaboration: Build relationships with security subject matter experts. Consult with stakeholders to ensure consistent and consumable messaging, and set expectations for deadlines, roles, and responsibilities.
- Delivery: Ensure timely delivery of collateral to the highest standard. Translate complex information into engaging explanations, diagrams, and other content, following ServiceNow style, tone, and brand guidelines.
- Editorial Review: Maintain, improve, and document the editorial review process. Perform periodic reviews of all collateral, including recommendations for improvements to structure, flow, and completeness.
- Communications: Create and publish key messaging on behalf of the team (for employees and partners in various channels), own and maintain communication processes, and track key metrics.
Requirements:
- 6+ years experience in a similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Expert in Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with AI, or critical thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact.
- Understanding of cloud security or relevant technical fields.
- Writing samples required.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- High flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, listening and note-taking skills, and organizational skills.
