Full-Time Senior UX/UI Designer with German

Our client operates prominently in the financial sector, enhancing operations across their extensive network of 150,000 workstations and supporting a workforce of 4,500 employees. Our IT solutions ensure streamlined processes and heightened security.

The project features a range of applications that address various aspects of banking and user interactions, focusing on developing, monitoring, and analyzing application interface data and program efficiency.

Responsibilities:

1. Design human-centered solutions: Design solutions that meet user needs and business goals across devices within a complex application ecosystem. Ensure designs follow accessibility and usability standards in a banking context.
2. Understand User Needs and business goals: Conduct user research and discovery activities to identify user and business requirements, ensuring design solutions align with the context and goals.
3. Validate Design Solutions: Develop wireframes to bring ideas to life, validate solutions, and conduct validation sessions with teams, stakeholders, or users, iterating on products by incorporating feedback and insights.
4. Apply a consultancy mindset: Actively understand and align with client goals and business contexts, build trusted stakeholder relationships, and facilitate in-team ideation sessions.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with Product Owners to assess product requirements, translate them into interactive prototypes, user flows, wireframes, and final designs, collaborating with the development team to ensure an intuitive, simple, and elegant user experience that meets technical requirements.
6. Work with complex design systems: Collaborate with layered design teams to propose new patterns and perform quality checks.
7. Communicate design decisions and insights: Summarize insights and capture workshop results in a presentable format. Tailor communication of design insights and approaches to resonate with diverse audiences.
8. Mentor and lead design initiatives: Provide guidance and support to peer designers on projects, share best practices, conduct design reviews, and manage stakeholder activities within a German-speaking product community. Contribute to a growing Product Design community that focuses on growth and knowledge sharing among peers.

Must Have:

• 5+ years experience in a UX/UI design position
• Expertise in user research, interaction design and prototyping tools and design methods.
• Deep knowledge of usability, accessibility standards, and human-centered design principles, combined with a consultancy mindset to effectively align design solutions with business goals
• Strong facilitation skills for workshops and stakeholder engagements
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, negotiate and prioritize effectively in multi-cultural environments.
• Experience across various ways of working and project complexities.
• Strong analytical judgment, critical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in German and English (both written and verbal).

Nice to Have:

• Experience in banking, insurance, or financial projects, with a strong understanding of multi-device interaction models and ecosystems
• Experience working in highly matrixed organizations or large-scale corporate environments, applying design systems and systems thinking
• Active contribution to design communities, including leading design efforts or mentoring peers
