Civil – Defence Projects Are you a skilled Civil looking to work on high-profile Defence projects? Join our Defence Client’s organisation and play a key role in delivering infrastructure at their operating base.
Your Role:
- Define project requirements – engage stakeholders and coordinate with third parties
- Review design documentation – oversee drawings, specifications & risk assessments
- Optimise project solutions – support optioneering & value engineering for efficiency
- Ensure compliance – adhere to local standards & industry design codes
- Supervise technical activities – oversee construction & commissioning on-site
- Collaborate with teams – drive smooth and efficient project delivery
- Champion safety & quality – uphold Environment, Health, Safety & Security policies

Essential Experience:
- Maritime projects – expertise in coastal, naval, or offshore structures
- Heavy civils & structural projects – constructability & buildability experience
- Design management – overseeing design partners & ensuring safety assurance
- Performance specifications – developing requirements for complex projects
- Quality & nuclear safety – experience in nuclear safety case production
- Stakeholder engagement – liaising with third parties throughout the project lifecycle
Desirable Experience:
- Floating structures & vehicle/passenger bridges
- Environmental & safety case planning
- Defence & nuclear sector project management
- Engineering lifecycle management from concept to completion
Qualifications & Training:
- SC Clearance (or eligibility)
- Degree in a STEM discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Marine & mechanical engineering qualifications desirable
