Full-Time Software Engineer II -Backend

McDonald's, a global brand, seeks a skilled Software Development Engineer to lead the development of in-store technology within the Commercial Product & Platform organization.

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain McDonald's restaurant software.
• Work with team on design, development, testing, and maintenance.
• Contribute to all aspects of the agile development lifecycle.
• Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative software solutions.
• Adhere to software engineering standards and solve problems creatively.
• Mentor junior engineers.
• Provide progress updates to manager and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years experience in software development using C# and ASP.NET Core.
• 1+ year experience in system architecture and design.
• Experience with cloud technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, IaaS).
• Agile development experience, including unit testing, code reviews, and SDLC.
• Proficient in API architecture.
• Experience releasing software in a CI/CD environment (GitHub Actions).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to scope projects and deliver them successfully.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with QA frameworks like Cypress.
• JavaScript proficiency.
• React Native or other frontend framework experience.
• Relational database knowledge.
• Client/server architecture experience.
