Full-Time Software Engineering Manager

As a Software Engineering Manager in the ECS team, you'll be actively engaged in the planning, design, and development of important projects within our D2C organization. You will be a hands-on engineer with expertise in building full-stack cloud-native enterprise applications, splitting your time 50% on development and 50% on leading an engineering team.

You will report to the Director of Software Engineering.

Responsibilities include:

1. Guide the development of highly scalable and reliable technical solutions built for quality and performance.
2. Contribute hands-on to the development of microservices in our AWS cloud-based architecture, as well as web app development in our micro-frontend architecture.
3. Coach, support, and inspire software engineers on the team, focusing on feedback and growth.
4. Promote continuous learning and new ideas.
5. Drive hiring, training, career plans, and performance reviews for the engineering team.
6. Lead the sizing, design, development, and testing of key programs within D2C engineering.
7. Actively participate in all levels of the development process (code/design reviews, collaboration with business and project management).
8. Own deliverables through ideation, testing, validation, and production deployment.
9. Ensure stable Production operations (uptime, performance, reliability).
10. Provide leadership on Lean/Agile principles and development practices.
11. Maintain standards for regulatory compliance and information security.

Required Skills:

• 8+ years software development experience, with at least 2 years in people management.
• Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Full-stack cloud-native project experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• AWS ecosystem experience (especially NodeJS and GraphQL).
• Web application development in Angular and/or React.
• Successful project delivery experience in a people management and/or technical lead role.
• Understanding of design and engineering practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools (git, GitHub Actions, Docker).
