Full-Time Sr. Category Manager - Paper Board

Overview:The Paper Category Manager (CM) leads RRD's strategic focus for paper and related materials. RRD's production platform uses various paperboards for printed communications. The CM manages all aspects of these direct materials.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, communicate, and implement procurement strategies for assigned categories.
2. Partner with internal stakeholders to understand strategic direction and business priorities, developing and executing effective strategies for business objectives.
3. Achieve business requirements while capturing value (cost improvements, risk mitigation, supply continuity, cost avoidance, process improvements, supplier management).
4. Develop and sustain strategic relationships with key suppliers.
5. Research, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to maintain competitive advantages.
6. Evaluate supplier core competencies using cost models and benchmarking.
7. Ensure systems are updated with current documentation and terms.
8. Conduct sourcing events, negotiations, and thorough market analysis.
9. Negotiate supplier agreements with KPIs, SLAs, price protection, and continuous improvement.
10. Perform additional responsibilities to achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business management or supply chain.
• 10+ years of strategic experience in folding carton, board, or printing.
• In-depth knowledge of folding carton board and substrate applications.
• Project management experience with high-volume throughput.
• Ability to build strategic partnerships and collaborate with internal teams and suppliers.
• Data analysis skills to identify opportunities aligned with strategies.
• Excellent communication and professionalism for sensitive issues.
• Proficiency in Google (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and MS Office.
• Occasional travel.
