As a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of Vital Farms’ external financial reporting. You’ll partner closely with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, and Investor Relations teams to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.
What You'll Do:
- Prepare and support the quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-Ks, Proxy Statements), including detailed footnote disclosures and MD&A sections.
- Collaborate with external auditors to support the annual audit and quarterly reviews.
- Monitor, assess, and document the impact of new or revised accounting standards and SEC regulations.
- Assist in preparation of internal reporting packages for executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Partner with Legal, Investor Relations, and Accounting to ensure consistency and accuracy in messaging and disclosures.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of internal controls related to financial reporting (SOX compliance).
- Assist with internal and external audit compliance.
- Drive process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the reporting process.
- Assist in special projects related to corporate development initiatives as needed.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred.
- 4+ years of relevant experience, ideally including public accounting (Big 4 or national firm) and/or public company SEC reporting.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal controls (SOX).
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Ability to travel 10-15% for team meetings, company conferences, and onboarding events.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with Workiva, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics or similar platforms a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a knack for translating complex information into clear, business-friendly language.
